David Candy IFBB Pro Bodybuilder, 2007 NPC Bantamweight National Champion

My journey towards an NPC National Championship first started in 2005. I had won the Bantamweight class at the 2004 Junior Nationals, and for 2005, I decided to try my luck at Nationals. I took second place in the bantamweight class to Roland Huff. After taking second place, I realized that winning a National Championship

After competing at the nationals in Atlanta in 2001 and getting my butt handed to me. I decided that it was time to get serious ( so I thought). Jon Huston, NPC Bodybuilder

My name is Jon Huston and I have known Jeremy Minihan since 1997. We began training at a small gym in Moore and we both weighed the same: 185. Of course I am 5’10” and he’s over 6’2”!!! Our workouts began basically feeling each other out and determining what our goals were. It was obvious from the beginning that Jeremy had a fantastic exuberance for bodybuilding and that we both wanted to improve. He was never late for a training session and always showed up prepared.

Matt Robinson, NPC Bodybuilder

I started lifting about 9 years ago while stationed at Tinker AFB, OK. When I started, I didn’t really know anything about lifting weights or dieting. I was told that I had the potential to build a good size of muscle, but I didn’t believe anyone. As I got more and more into training and bodybuilding, I knew that it was something I had to accomplish in my lifetime.

Jason Williams, NPC Bodybuilder

I have always had some interest in bodybuilding since I was a kid, flexing in front of a camera since age 4. Growing up I always was the skinny kid who was never very good at sports. In high school I dabbled in the weight room a little, but never stayed with any strict training regimen. It wasn’t until about 7 years ago in 2002 I decided I was tired of being skinny and that I was going to start getting serious in the gym, stop smoking and start eating a little better.
