Matt RobinsonI started lifting about 9 years ago while stationed at Tinker AFB, OK. When I started, I didn’t really know anything about lifting weights or dieting. I was told that I had the potential to build a good size of muscle, but I didn’t believe anyone. As I got more and more into training and bodybuilding, I knew that it was something I had to accomplish in my lifetime. It was about two years later that I met Brendan, a mutual friend between Jeremy and I. Brendan and I ended up being deployed to Saudi Arabia for about four months; that’s when I started to feel like I had it in me to do bodybuilding.

The problem was that I still lacked proper dieting and there was that something always missing from my workouts. Sure, I would get a pump here and there but it never felt like I had any long lasting effects on my body. I got to a point where my strength would increase but I wouldn’t lose any body fat. I continued to think to myself on how I was ever going to be in the type of shape I needed to be a bodybuilder.

Matt RobinsonAfter Brendan and I returned from our deployment he introduced me to Jeremy, who was training him at the time. Brendon would tell me how I was going to experience working out like never before. I thought how anyone could push me harder than I push myself? Little did I know what was about to happen. The first time I trained with Jeremy we did legs. It was the most amazing workout of my life. Not only was I nauseated but I could barely walk, let alone stand without the feeling of my knees buckling. I trained with Jeremy for a couple more months in hopes of getting to compete. When it came to training with Jeremy I knew he could make me into a true bodybuilder. The training was by far the best I had ever experienced! He set me up on a diet and training split that worked perfectly.

During this time I met my wife, jenny, and we got orders to move overseas to England. While overseas I tried to keep up with what Jeremy had taught me but in the end, I had let my diet go and my weight got to 205lbs. After the four years was up overseas me, my wife, and our two boys headed back to Texas. I started training again and decided with the help and motivation of my wife, to give my dream of competing another shot. I started training on base but felt that I needed a bigger gym with a daycare so that I didn’t have to rush and my boys were taken care of while worked out. So I headed over to powerhouse gym in Wichita Falls. After a month or so I met Sheryl who currently trains with Jeremy. Little did I know that she was training with the same Jeremy that I had 6 years ago. I knew that if I ever wanted to compete.

Matt RobinsonI had to get with the best body sculptor in the business, and Jeremy is hands down the best. So she gave me his card and I got in contact with Jeremy and sent him some pics. He agreed to work with me and the light began to shine. I trained as hard as I could and I followed the diet that Jeremy gave me. I was seeing changes immediately. Jeremy and I talked about which competition I would be in. I would have to drop to 143.25 for the Total Package Show. I didn’t remember a time when I was ever 143, besides being in high school, but that was more than 12 years ago and I weighed around 188 - 195 at the time I started to train with Jeremy. With Jeremy as my trainer I went from a 38 inch waist to 29 inches at competition time. When I train with Jeremy I get the best workouts. If you don’t feel like you’re dying then you not truly working out. He pushes me past the point of exhaustion. His leg workouts are unexplainable. You will be picking yourself off the ground. During my training I went to see Jeremy to train back. I figured my back is strong and I am so used to training my back that there is no way that back day would be like leg day. I should never have thought that. I felt muscle ache, burn, and good pain in my back that I didn’t know I had. I felt like I had the workout of my life after just one set. It just got better from there.

Matt RobinsonThe time came for my first competition. I was shocked at how I had developed. At the competition, you could tell who trained with Jeremy and who didn’t. If you train with Jeremy you can guarantee that you will look the best and perform better than anyone else at your competition. My first competition and I won three first place trophies and an overall. I could not have done that without the help of my wife or any other trainer than Jeremy Minihan. I saw the changes in my body with every change made to my diet. I can’t explain the importance of having Jeremy as a trainer. If you have goals of competing or just losing weight, his knowledge and expertise is by far the best. The way that Jeremy trains each person is different, but he makes everyone feel like they are his best friend. Never will I ever train with a different trainer as long as I am able to compete in bodybuilding.
