David Candy IFBB Pro Bodybuilder
2007 NPC Bantamweight National Champion

My journey towards an NPC National Championship first started in 2005. I had won the Bantamweight class at the 2004 Junior Nationals, and for 2005, I decided to try my luck at Nationals. I took second place in the bantamweight class to Roland Huff. After taking second place, I realized that winning a National Championship and an IFBB Pro Card was a realistic possibility, and I trained the entire next year in hopes of accomplishing that goal. At the 2006 Nationals, I came in as a lightweight and took 3rd place but lacked the overall size and crispness to take the top spot. After the show, Roland approached me and introduced me to his trainer Jeremy Minihan. Jeremy told me that he expects a 100% total commitment with strict adherence to diet and training even in the “off season,” but that if I listened to what he had to say, he would almost guarantee me a Pro Card in 2007. I was a little hesitant at first because I had been doing so well on my own, but eventually I realized that I lacked the knowledge of what it took to go from a top level national competitor to a national champion. After competing at the nationals in Atlanta in 2001 and getting my butt handed to me. I decided that it was time to get serious ( so I thought). Up to the nationals I was what they called a trophy gather. I was winning in OK,TX and MO. And no one could tell me that I wasn't on my way to becoming a Pro.After almost not making the cut at the nationals I trained harder then ever and manage to win my class at the JR Nationals the next year. It was there that I new that I had to get even better if I wanted to become an IFBB PRO because those guys were NO JOKE.

It was there that I was introduced to a trainer but instantly new that he was not for me. About 30 minutes later I was introduced to a trainer where the sense of accomplishment was IMMEDIATE. This trainer was Jeremy Minihan. He had a client on stage that looked awesome. From that moment on we begin working together. (continued)

Lisa Morton, IFBB Pro Figure

Hi, I am IFBB pro figure competitor Lisa Morton. I have been competing in figure competitions since 2003. I competed for about 2 years before meeting Jeremy. I will admit I was hesitant about working with him at first. I had no idea who he was and I had been in charge of my own pre-contest preparations. It was a little scary putting all that trust into a stranger. I decided to go for it and put everything in his hands. It was the best decision I could have made for my competitive career. He knows his stuff! I earned my pro card the very next show after we started working together. Not only does he do amazing things with my physique, he makes me feel like I am his only client. He’s not only the best trainer but a great friend as well. Oh, and he poses better than any competitor I know (continued)

I so admire Jeremy's knowledge and his genuine enthusiasm and love for what he does. He takes the guess work out of how I am going to come in for a show. I have learned so much from him and believe he is the key to the vast improvements I have made to my physique. He pushed me to the next level and believed in me when others said it couldn't be done. I'm so happy to have Jeremy in my corner!

In April of 2003, I had an article published in Muscle and Fitness Hers. The article highlighted my quest for fitness competition as a type one diabetic athlete. Shortly after that article was released; I was contacted by another athlete who also had type one diabetes. Her name was Shana Predmore. We met over the phone and shortly there after; I had the unique opportunity to travel to Oklahoma and watch her compete. Shana introduced me to her trainer Jeremy Minihan. A young, aggressive, intelligent trainer that witnessed first hand experiences with a type one diabetic athlete dieting down for competition. Shana looked fantastic at her competition which obviously sparked my curiosity. “How does she look that good with the same disease I do?” (continued)

I have been working with Jeremy since Nov. 2006. After my 2006 season I found that I was struggling just to maintain my weight, I was eating less and working more then I ever had and I began to dread the gym. My passion for weight training was gone. My husband, Chase, started training with Jeremy in Sept, 2006 and was extremely happy so at the end of Nov. 2006 I contacted Jeremy and embarked on what has been just amazing in terms of physique changes and mental changes and bringing back the love and passion to my training.

As soon as I began with Jeremy my body started to respond. I made huge improvements particularly in my back. At first we were prepping me to do figure at Jr Nationals June 2007 but while I was in Oklahoma to train Jeremy suggested I switch back to bodybuilding just 7 weeks out from my show. I took his advice and good not be happier! I can lift hard the way I love to and the passion is back. (continued)

I started working with Jeremy about a year ago. I had no idea what I was about to encounter. Jeremy brought to the table a whole new element of training and dieting. If you think you push yourself hard, think again.

I literally pick myself up of the floor each and every time I train with Jeremy. But that’s what I need and that’s what it takes to get to the next level. He will not accept anything less than your absolute best.

There is no room for Peter Pan in his training sessions.

If you don’t want to sacrifice and step out of that comfort zone that you have been in, then don’t bother calling Jeremy (continued)

Olympia, the world’s most famous bodybuilding, figure and fitness competition, is the goal serious competitor’s dream of reaching. For me, Olympia was just the opposite. The year was 2003. The place was Las Vegas, Nevada and, yes, the show was Olympia, where I began my journey into figure. Something happened over those few days five years ago that changed the course of my life forever. I got the bug or the vision or the dream. I knew there was something within me that had to compete in figure. My dream was not so grand that I would waltz onto the Olympia stage, but still, I knew I had to compete. The amazing part of the story is the fact that I had no idea what it would take for me to be on a figure stage. I would begin a journey that night, which would take me across many paths and approaches and, a journey that still continues today, just months after coming in second in my class of the first figure show I entered. But, I am getting ahead of myself. I had to start from scratch. (continued)

I have competed in sports all of my life. I began lifting weights when I was a freshman in high school and started competing in bodybuilding about six years ago. During that time I have worked hard to learn as much as I could about the sport and the mechanics of how to make my body respond the way that I wanted. I eventually top out and realized that if I wanted to reach my goals I was going to need some help.

In my search for a trainer I spoke with several top trainers here in the US but I didn't feel comfortable with their knowlege in the sense that they were unable to explain their process, why they do certain things, and from a physiological stand point explain what is happening with my body. I was introduced to Jeremy about a year ago and within the first ten minutes of our conversation I was impressed and felt very comfortable with him. (continued)

Shanna Predmore

Before I met Jeremy in Feb. 02, I had been working out for a longtime with little results. After meeting him I decided to have him become my trainer. Within a few months of diet changes and training, my physique started to change. After a year, of training I entered my first figure contest. I am also an insulin dependent diabetic. Jeremy did a GREAT job getting me ready for all my shows and helping keep my blood sugars in normal ranges. Jeremy is a great trainer and friend even though he made me eat 400 chicken breasts for my shows. I hate chicken now !!! Jeremy, thank you for everything!!

Sheryl Rollins

I began training with Jeremy in July 2006 and it has been remarkable. I found him through an IFBB Fitness Pro in Kansas City and something she said has stuck with me to this day. She said; ‘he’s almost magical’ referring to his unbelievable ability in even the smallest details. We called him, set up an assessment in Oklahoma City and he immediately saw areas I could improve in. My diet was completely off as a competitor and he corrected that bringing amazing and immediate results. (continued)

I began working with Jeremy in the summer of 2003. At that time, I was about to enter my sophomore season as a point guard in college. I was well conditioned and had always been a dedicated athlete that paid great attention to my nutrition and training. After only three weeks of training with Jeremy, I experienced greater results than I had throughout my entire athletic career. I was mesmerized with his attention to detail and with his ability to articulate exactly how to perform every movement that went into each exercise. I was also intrigued by the way each of his client’s exercise and nutritional programs were individualized for their specific needs. My newfound strength and explosive movement enabled me to make the starting lineup and achieve several awards. I attribute much of my success as a college athlete to Jeremy. (continued)

I would highly reccomend Jeremy Minihan as a trainer to anyone who has a serious desire to change their body. He took me from last place in the physique rounds at 2005 NPC Nationals to winning the 1 pc round at the 2006 Jr USA...pretty amazing considering those shows were less than 5 months apart! In addition, he always answered my questions with science-based replies...never "because I'm the trainer and I said so."

What amazes me is how different all his plans are for his clients. I have never seen him do the 'cookie cutter' diet/prep that many trainers utilize. He really does put a lot of time and effort into each and every individual client. In addition, I can also say that I have had the pleasure of training one-on-one with him in Oklahoma City, and never once did I NOT go home sore!

Tim Young, NPC Bodybuilder

I have been a competitive bodybuilder for over 20 years. My first contest was as a teenager in 1986. In those days there were no personal trainers. Most of the advice we received came from magazines or other guys at the gym. I met Jeremy in 2001 after being out of the gym for about 3 years. Within a short time he had me back in shape and we won the 2002 Mr. Oklahoma. The following year we took 3rd at a national level show which I was at my all time best condition.

Jeremy's dedication to perfection and persistance for acheivement is second to none. He has become one of the nations leaders in fitness and nutrition.

Clint & Elizabeth
April 1, 2008-August 16, 2008

Clint and I had been trying for a month to figure out a diet/exercise regimen by ourselves. By the end of that first month we had seen minimal results and were frustrated. Then it happened-Clint proposed and we started planning for a wedding! Suddenly we were faced with a wedding date four and a half months away that neither one of us wanted to be at with our current body shapes. Luckily for us, we found Jeremy of Size and Shape Fitness. At our consultation, we discussed our frustrations with our weight and how we had been trying to accomplish our goals. We were immediately impressed with his professionalism, frankness, and understanding (continued)

I have trained for years, but could never get passed the plateau I had hit. After training with Jeremy since 2001, I have totally changed both mentally and physically. Although I do not compete, bodybuilding has given me greater focus and stress relief. I have also gained more self esteem and self motivation in all aspects of my life. When you start achieving your goals and seeing results with correct diet and excercise, it's amazing how it can transform your life. Jeremy has always been there as a trainer and a great friend. I guess I'll have to keep him around!!
